The senz° storm umbrella was developed in 2006 by 3 Dutch students from Delft’s Technical University, frustrated by umbrellas that constantly flipped inside out and ended up in the trash.
Senz° was founded by three friends, all studied at Delft University of Technology. They were fed up with the flimsy umbrellas that kept breaking. They redesigned the traditional umbrella and gave it an innovative, asymmetrical shape. Not to make it look special, but because that’s what makes senz°. Their quest led to the senz° original storm umbrella, which always finds the optimal position in the wind, prevents it from flipping inside out, and can withstand wind speeds of up to 100 km/h!
After thousands of years of traditional umbrellas, senz*deg; has reimagined the umbrella with a revolutionary approach. Instead of resisting the wind, we use its force to our advantage. The senz° foldaway was designed out of the frustration of travelers with bulky, hard-to-store luggage. The senz° team saw an opportunity to create a practical, space-saving solution. The foldaway suitcase provides comfort during travel and solves the storage issue by easily folding up, making storage effortless. But the senz° foldaway is more than just the perfect travel companion; it’s a statement of sustainability and efficiency. We contribute to a cleaner world without compromising the quality and functionality you expect from us. Launched in 2023, the senz° foldaway received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2024.
